Carried by the capricious winds of the voyage, the graceful and elegant Trimaran Mérihobus Ugears invites you to leave your peaceful port and embark on an exciting marine mechanical adventure.
The Trimaran model is a classic multihull sailboat designed to show many details such as winches, rigs and hulls, making it a very realistic miniature copy of real prototypes.
Soar with this magnificent beauty of the sea. But where will it take you today - cruise around the world? Expedition to wild islands? Leave the rough seas of everyday life and travel to distant waters with the Trimaran Mérihobus. It should be noted that the kit includes several models of flags that you can customize. So create your own design and using the winch, hoist your flag at the top of the pole.
The Trimaran comes with step-by-step instructions, in color, really easy to follow (in several languages including French) and does not require any glue or special tools to be fully assembled.
How the Mérihobus Ugears Trimaran works
The sailboat body is in a "skeleton" style to ensure good visibility of the sailboat mechanism and design, including details such as bulkheads, frames and beams. The ropes connected by the pontoons to the master wheel of the stern direct the rudder blade.
The fins under the side floats give stability to the structure and also create an impression of elevation of the model. The main body maintains the side floats by a frame made in a unique style. Also on the side floats is a mechanism for lowering small boats into the water. It includes articulated supports and a lifting winch.
The mainsail and the staysail on the mast can be hoisted or lowered, like on real trimarans. The mainsail of the Trimaran Mérihobus is located on the mast groove with the halyard. The staysail "twists" on the stem.
Up front, under the bowsprit, you will find the drum winch. A lever hoists the sails. Inside the trimaran is also a winch for the anchor. Using a mechanism equipped with elastic bands, the anchor then returns automatically.
The designers of the Ugears used a strong but thin white wire for the rigging of the Mérihobus. This allows the structure of the boat not to be weighed down, even with a lot of detail, while ensuring that the mast and other elements remain in their position.
And of course, don't miss the little finishing touch - a little seahorse carved out of the bow of the ship. This funny sea creature, one of whose varieties is called merihobus, owes its unique name to your trimaran.
To assemble yourself, without the use of glue.
